The NKL launches for 2015-16

The Australian kite scene hasn’t had a national tour since the early days of the AKL. That’s all set to change Classic Holidays becoming the major sponsor of a 7 part wave and freestyle tour to visit 5 Aussie cities, one Kiwi city and finish on the Gold Coast in February.

GOLD COAST – November 12 – 15, 2015
CHRISTCHURCH (NZ) – November 19 – 22, 2015
ADELAIDE – December 3 – 6, 2015
PERTH – January 7 – 10, 2016
SYDNEY – January 21 – 24, 2016
MELBOURNE – February 4 – 7, 2016

GRAND FINAL – GOLD COAST – February 18 – 21, 2016

We asked Sunny Coast ripper Josh Stephens what this meant for competitive kiteboarding he was excited as you’d expect – “This is the biggest step forward for competitive kiteboarding and promoting Australian athletes! The NKL will spark more riders into competitions and present local talent to the public of Australia. Big things will only come from this, I’m super exited to compete on this new tour!”
